Lettre d'Adolphe Sax à Léon Kreutzer

Letter from Adolphe Sax to Léon Kreutzer (1817-1868)

A musical critic, writer, and self-taught composer, Kreutzer [Ed Note: nephew of renowned violinist Rodolphe Kreutzer] wrote the first part of a saxophone quartet [Ed Note: composed 1857] that was published c.1860 by Adolphe Sax.

My dear Léon,

Tell me what you want to do for Bordeaux - because time flies - and give me, please, any news of the saxophone quartets.

Best wishes to your wife on behalf of your friend,
Adolphe Sax
